PORT ISSUES HUGHES SAT INTERNET PLAYSTATION 3?

I have a hughes sat internet with and HN9000 sat modem feeding the connection to a linksys brand cysco powered router. I have enabled the DMZ and set the destination to the IP of the PS3. I disabled the firewall that I found in the router and havnet found any firewalls with the satelite internet modem. Still when i attempt to search for games on call of duty 4 it never refreshes the games list. i have no other issues and have no problems connecting to the internet through the playstation. I am wondering if playstation has a built in safty mode that wont allow internet connections via sattelite?? I am not sure. i have searched the internet and cant really find many website that talk about this issue that I have. any help or advice would be awesome! thanks again! :)
