Looking for cheap sudios aprts in Phx, in neighborhoods near downtown, any ideas?

You won't find cheap apartments in dowtown Phoenix. Your best bet is to look in the outlying areas. Like Tempe near ASU or Mesa. The apartment/lofts they are putting downtown are supposed to be anything but cheap. And the Neighbor hoods surrounding downtown Phoenix are not very good lots of crime etc.. If you do manage to find a home in the historic areas you're looking at $500,000.00 plus.
