I need help picking a beginner guitar!?

i already play some basic acoustic like green day n stuff but my teacher says i should get an electric guitar cause i wanna play a lot of heavy metal. can anyone recommend an electric guitar for me, i have a problem with barre chords so maybe one with a narrow neck. i really like the HARLEY BENTON HBL450BK but unfortunately it doesnt come in a left hand version, yes thats right im LEFT HANDED. really need help, oh and ive got a budget of around �200-300
