How soon after arrival is it considered ok to leave a wedding?

I MUST to go to a wedding that I'd rather not go to (long, unimportant story, but belive me - I don't have a choice). I don't want to offend anyone in attendance, least of all the bride and groom. How soon after arriving can I leave without it being overtly impolite?
